Having recently taken on the role of a lead pastor/planter, my skills and experience cover a broad spectrum. With 10+ years of experience, shepherding and leading in a worship arts context is my deep passion.

Risking it all for Jesus and embracing uncertainty for Him is my DNA and so I feel drawn to join a church planting team or vibrant ministry with the desire to build teams and reproduce leaders. Preaching, graphic design, discipleship of small groups and individuals, coordinating successful outreach efforts, are some of my skills that any growing church will find essential, but it is vitally important for me to join a ministry team that has a clear, vibrant, and audacious vision — one that everyone on the team can clearly articulate and are working together to accomplish — one where everyone is honoring God with their very best. |

Musicianship
- Accomplished vocalist, keyboardist, songwriter, esp. worship, rock, electronic styles. Strong vocal skills and stage presence
- Notation/arrangement of band charts/lead sheets from professional recordings, sheet music, and new creations
- Affiliate songwriter with Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI).

Worship Ministry
- Proven ability and experience in engaging congregations in authentic, passionate worship experiences
- Passionate about using creative arts to engage and connect seekers and believers to the message
- Programming/coordination of worship experiences around "Big Idea" with a variety of media and communication elements including music, drama, film, video, computer, scripture, readings, and other interactive resources

Technical & Design

- Advanced experience with creative software including applications for business (MS Office), audio (Cakewalk, Encore, Finale), graphics (Adobe Creative Suite), video (Final Cut Pro, MediaShout)
- Manage recording, duplication, podcast distribution of worship service archive
- Tracking and report copyright licensing information for CCLI (and CVLI) license
- Graphic design and marketing projects including ministry brochures, fliers, website, advertisements, billboards, and other media as needed for publicity. Coordinate/produce banners, artwork, CDs, DVDs, media, and other arts projects

MINISTRY POSITION EXPERIENCE |

Consulting artist, musician, and band leader of a new church start/plant. Working with leadership in coaching musicians, singers, and techs in the best practices of the creative and administrative processes of a Worship Arts ministry. Encouraging the team to offer excellence to God and the congregation in the Worship Arts as they create an atmosphere where people can be free to fully experience God. A consulting position.
Encounter Church || Helena, MT
Lead Pastor/Planter || April 2009 to October 2011
Lead planter and pastor for an edgy, non-traditional church plant targeting those who do not connect or have given up on church. Worship style is edgy, energetic, and rock-oriented utilizing some secular music as appropriate. Also Hillsong United, Fee, Starfield, Jesus Culture, Matt Maher, Crowder. Responsible for all areas of church development including team recruitment, vision casting, fundraising, marketing, discipleship, and more. Utilized skills included preaching, worship leading, community networking, successful, outreach, graphic design, website creation, and managing a church plant budget. A full-time salaried position.
Led praise band and singers in rehearsals and worship for two contemporary Sunday morning services. Saw increased attendance from 400-600 over 5 years. Worship ministry participation included rotations of about 30 musicians and techs. Typical music style was light rock contemporary worship like Tomlin, Redman, Hughes, Walker, Hillsong. Also led weekly AWANA worship with 100 attendance. Recruitment, rehearsal, and spiritual formation of worship team participants, technical volunteers, limited seasonal choirs, and featured artists. Other duties include service programming, internal and external church publicity, supervision of technical ministries, and other administrative tasks. A full-time salaried position.
Led praise band and singers in worship for Sunday morning contemporary/blended service and traditional evening service. Saw increased attendance from 90-130 over 3 years. Also includes leading church-wide worship for celebrations, vacation bible school, etc. Responsible for recruitment, rehearsal, and spiritual formation of worship team participants, technical volunteers, seasonal choirs, and featured artists. Other duties include service programming, internal and external church publicity, supervision of technical ministries, and other administrative tasks. A 30+ hour part-time hourly position.

Organized musicians and vocalists for NDOP event at Montana State Capital in Helena, Montana. Responsible for providing music for 250 attendees.
Led praise band and singers in Montana Promise Keepers Jesus Conference worship experiences. Over 250 in attendance at Helena Civic Center. Responsible for leading attendees in worship, rehearsing praise team prior to event, and collecting appropriate music and media elements for PowerPoint/MediaShout/Sunday Plus.
Lead praise band and singers in worship for annual community and pastors’ conference. Over 500 in attendance. Responsible for leading attendees in worship, rehearsing praise team prior to event, preparing video and print publicity, and more. Speakers included Crawfor Loritts, Jr., Leith Anderson, Dr. Charles Ware, Matt Heard, Bob Russell, storytellers/humorists Stephen James, Jeff Smith, Dennis Lee, and magician/humorist Scott Cowen.
